What COVID-19 means for our chapter

In these challenging times, we are all navigating through uncertainty for ourselves, our loved ones and our community. We hope you are staying healthy and safe.

More than ever, we are committed to delivering hope and joy to children with critical illnesses. In light of current medical and public concerns, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all wish travel, as well as wish kid participation in all activities and events related to Make-A-Wish, until at least the end of May. This includes our Wish Nigh Gala & Auction which has been postponed to Saturday, June 6th.

This event typically raises the funds to grant nearly half of the wishes we fulfill annually. We know that this crisis is impacting our supporters as well. If you’re able to make a gift during this critical time, you’ll help ensure these kids won’t have to wait even one unnecessary day for their wish.Plus, because of tax deduction expansions for charitable giving in the COVID-19 stimulus bill, your generosity now could have even greater benefits come tax time.

For those who are able, we’d love for you to join us. You can also support wishes today by making a donation to our Spring Wish Fund.

Especially during this uncertain time, we are sincerely grateful for our community of supporters.

If you have any questions regarding Wish Night , please contact Dawn Draves.
