Three ways you can get involved during Alaska Wish Month

Faith and family ready for their trip.
As snow melts and spring arrives in Alaska, we’ll celebrate our courageous wish kids during the month of April.

Here are three ways you can get involved:

  1. Friday, April 3. 5-7 p.m. Come to Celestial Sweets (formerly Sugarspoon) for a First Friday art opening. Meet wish kid artists and view their work. Learn more about some of our exciting upcoming wishes. Enjoy sweets! (2601 Spenard Road #1)
  2. Saturday, April 11. 11:30 a.m. Join Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington for a showing of Shrek at Bear Tooth Theatre. This event includes a featured wish story, movie-themed activities before the show, and information about the mileage needed to send all our Alaskan kids on the wish trip of their dreams.

Come in costume and you’ll be in entered for a chance to win great prizes. Tickets can be purchased two weeks in advance at Bear Tooth Theatre or online at All proceeds beyond movie licensing go to Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington.

  3. Give Wishes Wings! Did you know that more than 75 percent of our wish kids choose to travel? And our Alaska kids have to travel many miles to reach the destinations of their dreams. Donate your airline miles from one of our approved airline partners.
