Anchorage Goblins Have Never Been More Giving

Trick or Treat in the Heat
Even in the pouring rain, the Anchorage community donned their costumes and opened their doors for Trick or Treat in the Heat, an annual Halloween event in Anchorage.

The event has raised more than $50,000 for Make-A-Wish® Alaska wish children and their families over the last eight years.

The event began in 2005 after wish kid Ian Robbins wanted to experience Halloween, but October 31st was months away and his medical condition was worsening. After the neighborhood came together to make this special day possible for Ian, more Anchorage neighbors and community members have joined to honor Ian’s legacy and help other children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Proceeds from the annual event benefit Make-A-Wish Alaska and several other local children’s charities.

This year, there were more ghosts, goblins, and witches than ever. Thank you to the Anchorage community for bringing hope, strength, and joy to other children like Ian.
