Wells Enterprises, Inc. helping Make-A-Wish® grant 100 wishes to 100 kids with life-threatening medical conditions in honor of its 100th birthday
Who and What:
When 13-year-old Kielan of Ferndale closes his eyes, he dreams of being a superstar because as he says, “he wants everyone to be nice to me.” With help from Blue Bunny’s 100 Years, 100 Wishes program, Make-A-Wish Washington is partnering with the local Bellingham community to grant Kielan’s wish.
Tuesday, February 12
Big plans are in store for a superstar shopping spree for Kielan, who is living with liver cancer, starting early the day of his wish. This charismatic teen has already been outfitted with a tuxedo that he plans to wear to Vista Middle School that day. It will likely be the longest 7 hours of his life as he waits for the bell to ring at 2:05 p.m. at which time he will surprise his classmates with free ice cream. It’s all part of a national program by Wells, makers of Blue Bunny Ice Cream, to help Make-A-Wish grant 100 wishes in honor of the company's 100th birthday.
The ice cream is sure to catapult his popularity among his peers, but it will really skyrocket when a SUV limo, complete with bodyguard, rolls up to take him to the first stop on his superstar shopping spree: Best Buy (located at 4281 Meridian St, Bellingham).
Make-A-Wish is seeking volunteer paparazzi to make his wish extra special. Please join us for his red carpet arrival at Best Buy at 2:30 p.m. and Target (located at 30 Bellis Fair Pkwy Bellingham) at 3:15 p.m. in Bellingham. Bring your 'I love Kielan!' signs, ask him about his role in your favorite movie, or just beg for the autograph of this amazing kid as we celebrate his wish day.
