For Frank and Sue Genzale, the life they love is one filled with family and philanthropy. The couple has spent 49 years of marriage raising a family dedicated to serving others.
Through the Adopt-A-Wish® program, the Genzales funded a wish for a local child, and it quickly became a family affair. “At Thanksgiving, we told our grandchildren ... if they wanted to do something for Christmas, they could help do something for this family,” said Sue.
Their grandchildren seized the opportunity. They did chores around the house to earn money and helped Sue shop for Giving Tree gifts to give to wish kids and their siblings. But most importantly, they learned how to make a difference by working together.
Now, Sue also donates her time as a wish-granting volunteer and her enthusiasm is evident. “She’ll do this as long as she can, and she’ll bring everyone along with her,” said Frank.
