She leads a talented communications and marketing team charged with sharing the heart of our mission: our wishes and all the incredible people who make them possible.
Jeannette began her career in public relations at a small boutique PR firm in Detroit. After several years helping clients achieve their goals, she had the unique opportunity to custom create a media and public relations position at Make-A-Wish Michigan. As that chapter’s first media and public relations professional, she built a solid program that helped the organization increase their visibility, build brand equity and grow their community support.
After six years, Jeannette moved to Seattle where she freelanced for several clients, including Make-A-Wish America, and worked at the University of Washington as a copywriter before joining Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington in 2008.
In her current position, Jeannette is the architect overseeing the chapter’s communications and marketing strategy and works in partnership with the professional staff, trustees and volunteers to implement these plans. She’s a skilled marketing and communications professional with more than 18 years of experience writing and editing, media relations, special event support, crisis communications, email, social, website and branding.
Jeannette earned her bachelor's degree in journalism with an external specialty in marketing from Michigan State University.
