Keely's brother, Lake, made a wish to meet the Power Rangers while he was battling lymphoma.
Though she was young, Keely remembers searching for her favorite pink Power Ranger with her brother in California.
After feeling empowered and inspired by their wish trip, Keely's mom started working for Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington to help grant wishes to other local kids.
Keely's turn to spread joy and grant wishes
This summer, Keely pursued her own wish adventure by becoming a summer intern at the local Make-A-Wish office. In a few short months, Keely helped grant wishes to more than twenty kids. She prepared travel bags, booked fishing trips, wrote itineraries, organized the tower of toys and completed wish paperwork.
But her favorite experience was meeting wish families and volunteers. "It's cool to see so many volunteers give up time to help wish kids," said Keely.
