You May Hold the Ticket to a Child's Most Heartfelt Wish

Carter wished to go on a big boat.
Six-year-old Carter, battling leukemia, wished to go on a big boat with his family.

During his cruise wish, Carter thought about snorkeling, swimming and a stomach full of ice cream. For the first time in years, his battle with cancer was the furthest thing from his mind. And for that, his mom, Amanda is thankful. “I am more grateful than words can say to have been given such a wonderful gift made possible by countless strangers,” she said.

Did you know that the single largest wish expense is airline miles? You can bring joy to local children like Carter by donating your unused airline miles to Make-A-Wish® Washington. Last year, more than 24.6 million donated miles helped send local wish kids and their families on their wish trips. Donate your miles online today.

  • Cheers to you! Brilliant breweries. Fabulous food. Amazing attendees. That sums up Wishtoberfest as event-goers enjoyed a night out AND raised more than $176,000 to grant wishes for local kids with critical illnesses—kids like Leah and Whittaker whose wishes you funded on Friday night.
