You May Hold the Ticket to a Child's Most Heartfelt Wish

Carter wished to go on a big boat.
Six-year-old Carter, battling leukemia, wished to go on a big boat with his family.

During his cruise wish, Carter thought about snorkeling, swimming and a stomach full of ice cream. For the first time in years, his battle with cancer was the furthest thing from his mind. And for that, his mom, Amanda is thankful. “I am more grateful than words can say to have been given such a wonderful gift made possible by countless strangers,” she said.

Did you know that the single largest wish expense is airline miles? You can bring joy to local children like Carter by donating your unused airline miles to Make-A-Wish® Washington. Last year, more than 24.6 million donated miles helped send local wish kids and their families on their wish trips. Donate your miles online today.

  • ‘Tis the season of generosity, and we’re so grateful for amazing partners like Fran's Chocolates. During one of the busiest shopping weeks of the year, Fran herself gave wish kid Avery a personal tour of the chocolate factory and helped Avery make chocolates to take on her wish trip to New York City. Talk about a magical start to a wish?! Have a wonderful trip, Avery.
